A momentous year in its 35-year history
Orchard Press Ltd, a well-established family-owned independent printing business based in Swindon, is celebrating a momentous year in its history.
Owned and operated by husband-and-wife, Jason and Samantha Grubb, the company is on track to achieve a record-breaking £1.1 million in revenue (excluding VAT) as the year closes, while also reaching a significant milestone becoming entirely debt-free.
The business has steadily grown into one of Wiltshire's most trusted independent printing companies specialising in high-quality printing services, offering a comprehensive range of solutions from digital to traditional offset (lithographic) printing, wide format, postal, filament and installation services, catering to a wide range of clients across various industries.
With a close-knit team of ten employees, who collectively boast 124 years of service, Orchard Press has thrived under the strong leadership of Jason and Samantha, with a commitment to exceptional customer service. Over the past decade, since acquiring the business from the Rowley family who originally set up the business in their garage nearly four decades ago, the Grubbs have navigated a competitive and evolving market, and this year’s success highlights their resilience and adaptability.
“Being on track to reach £1.1 million in sales is a significant milestone for us all. It highlights the return on our investments, in both our people and our services. We’re particularly pleased to achieve this while also nearing the goal of being debt-free, which is a true testament to the hard work of our entire team.” Said Jason.
This remarkable year has not only been marked by just financial success but also significant improvements in the company’s infrastructure. Throughout early and mid-2024, Orchard Press underwent several key upgrades to modernise its operations. A new website was launched to better serve clients and showcase the company’s extensive range of printing services. The production flooring was completely replaced, while WC facilities were upgraded to improve staff comfort. In addition, the exterior of the Orchard Press building received a full facelift, giving the business a fresh, modern look. Orchard Press also earned a seal of excellence in health and safety, supported by Josh at the BPIF, rounding off what has been a busy and transformative year.
“The changes we’ve made during 2024, from launching the new website to upgrading our facilities, it has all been about improving both the working environment for our team and the service we offer to our clients. This investment sets the stage for continued growth and improvements to ensure that Orchard Press is well-positioned for the future.” Said Jason.
As the business looks ahead to 2025, Orchard Press remains committed to its family-owned values while continuing to innovate and expand its array of design, print, wide format, postal, filament and installation services. Jason and Samantha are excited about the future opportunities and are confident that the business will continue to be a cornerstone of the printing industry for years to come.
